However, I'm not sure where I got the driver from - I was monkeying around for the longest time trying to get CUPs on linux to work so it could be I installed something then which I'm making use of now without realizing it. I read somewhere that the 8250 is compatible with DeskJet 990c but I havent tried that out yet. My 8250 is also available in the print browser I'm just not able to add it because osx can't automatically find a suitable driver and the 8250 is not on the list. Maybe you need a newer version of the HP drivers?
