In this case, I let it choose automatically. However, I'm not sure where I got the driver from - I was monkeying around for the longest time trying to get CUPs on linux to work so it could be I installed something then which I'm making use of now without realizing it. I'll post a screenshot later showing you what I see in case it helps.

From HP's web site it would appear that the latest version of the photosmart driver is version 2.5.5 but HP's DeskJet driver is at version 3.3. I read somewhere that the 8250 is compatible with DeskJet 990c but I havent tried that out yet. My 8250 is also available in the print browser I'm just not able to add it because osx can't automatically find a suitable driver and the 8250 is not on the list. Did you select a specific driver og did you let the system choose automatically.

It showed up just fine for me in the default printer browser as a Bonjour printer, and I added it from there. Maybe you need a newer version of the HP drivers? Looking at the details for the driver I see that it is using v3.3 of the HP Photosmart driver.

How did you get the photosmart printer setup with osx through airport printer sharing. I have not been able to hook it up in my setup because osx does not seem to provide at driver that lets you hook up via bonjour.'
